Here's a Redondo Beach listing that's actually in Torrance. What am I talking about? Glad you asked.
There are some properties in North Redondo and far more in the "Hollywood Riviera" section of South Redondo that have Redondo Beach mailing address but are in Torrance meaning Torrance PD, FD, schools etc. It has to do with where the post office were a long time ago in a galaxy far away.
The ones in 90278 are south of 182nd and east of El Nido Park and west of Hawthorne Blvd. So a very small area. There's a smattering of SFRs, detached Townhomes and condos. It's always a bit of a challenge to price properties there because there might be a premium for the Redondo Beach name and it is as far west as you can get in North Torrance but on the other hand, some parents value the Redondo Schools more.
18419 Mansel is a totally detached free standing 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath over 2000 Sq Ft Townhome built in 2005 that feels like a SFR.
This contemporary property is on a quiet residential street near El Nido Park and has an open standard floorplan. The three over size bedrooms are found upstairs and feature walk in closets. The master bedroom has French doors leading to a terrace with some peek a boo views of the park. The en-suite master bath is quite large and the 2nd bathroom upstairs has a distinctly modern feel. Downstairs is the cook's kitchen featuring granite counters, custom cabinets and stainless steel appliances. The dining room and living room have a great open flow with French Doors and a slider leading to the private west facing backyard. There's a direct access 2 car garage with extra storage and lots of other useful features like a newer tankless water heater adding to the allure of this unique property. Close proximity to the Galleria Mall, Sprouts Market, Panera Bread, Starbucks and lots of other restaurants, shopping, freeway access and everything else you need to live the South Bay Beach Cities lifestyle. Priced at $845,000. Let's see how we do on the price.
